11/13/2022 0 Comments Planet coaster review![]() I got lucky enough to find a Playstation 5 copy, and wow it feels good to be back. So when Planet Coaster was announced for console, I knew right then and there I had to hop back in. Eventually I did fall off from playing the game constantly, as I just found using my computer more of a hassle than just whipping out my Switch or getting immersed in my PS4. My old Steam account has my total playtime marked at over seven hundred hours, and honestly I'm kind of surprised it's not even more than that. The controls were perfect for mouse and keyboard, the coaster designing was extremely detailed and fun to interact with, and the challenge of successfully operating a park to a realistic degree was phenomenal. Safe to say I fell in love with the game. #PLANET COASTER REVIEW HOW TO#So I literally had to learn how to use keyboard controls and installed Steam for the first time just to play this take on theme park management. When this game first launched on PC, I knew I had to play it. One of the most well crafted them park simulation games of all time. So, naturally one may assume that I lose my mind anytime roller coasters or park designing/management is made into a playable medium. And if you still aren't convinced, let me add this final tidbit: To this day, I have a larger passion for roller coasters and theme parks than I do anything else, INCLUDING video games. #PLANET COASTER REVIEW PROFESSIONAL#For the longest time in my life, I wanted to grow up and design roller coasters for my professional career. When I was much younger, one of my favorite games on the Nintendo Wii was Thrillville Off the Rails. You can ask me any question about any roller coaster in the United States of America and nine times out of ten I will know the answer. More specifically, I love roller coasters. A fun campaign to complete!.ħ0% PlayStation 5Most of you probably don't know this about me, but I love amusement parks. There are different themed areas, with 3 parks in each which have bronze, silver and gold completion levels of varying difficulty. The campaign mode is reminiscent of older RCT games. So keep your dream sandbox park small (no trying to fill the whole map) and you'll have a lot more fun. Once you have a certain number of guests in your park, or the park gets over a certain size with a certain number of objects the game will drop to 30fps and lower, regardless of how powerful your rig is. The only big downer is the game engine isn't capable of handling big parks. Even if you're not creative at all and just like terraforming, you will love this. If you are very creative and like making incredible buildings out of tiny pieces, you will love this. If you like any sort of building and managing games, you'll love this. If you like theme parks and rollercoasters in any way, you will love this. If you had any fondness at all for Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 you will absolutely love this. Smooth and realistic yet easy to build coasters, beautiful graphics and a soundtrack to match. ![]()
